You have made a wise decision to propel your brokerage to success with the Montgomery Area Association of REALTORS® (MAAR) and its Multiple Listing Service, ALAMLS.com.

Our commitment includes this comprehensive broker orientation. You will go through the course information and complete a final exam .

Broker orientation is designed to assist you in getting the most out of your membership through leveraging the tools, programs, and services available to you, reducing your risk and liability, and engaging your agents in the association. Licensees have a choice between joining an association brokerage or a non-REALTOR® brokerage. Engaging your agents ensures they see the value in your brokerage model and reduces the risk of being responsible for the agent’s dues.

Mandatory Online Broker Orientation

All existing member licensees with broker’s license (Qualifying and Associate)
- 30 days to complete
All new broker licensees (Qualifying and Associate)
- Qualifying Establishing a New Company – Required for access to services
- Associate Broker licensees – 30 days to complete
Complete the online Broker Course
Pass an online 50 question test with an 80% or above
- Licensee can continue taking the test until passing
If you do not complete the training in 30 days there is a $250 fine and you have 15 days to complete the orientation.
If you still do not complete the online orientation, services will be suspended until completion of the orientation.
Qualifying Broker responsible for assuring the associate brokers in their company have completed orientation, if the company is not in compliance after 45 days, there is a fine $250 per licensee.
Qualifying Broker is responsible for notifying MAAR when the QB has a new Associate Broker licensee within 15 days, failure to notify will result in a $150 fine.
